I am searching for a new inspiration for a new design.
I took a photo when this sarsparella was in flower and then tweeked it a little in Photoshop.

A Little Drawing Book

This little book is a concertina calligraphy book. The pages are Chinese watercolour paper and you can see from the size of the writing pen next to it.
As part of my drawing module I filled the book with a combination of watercolour, goauche and ink brush drawings. The flowers are all Australian natives and grow in my garden. The colour and ink drawings alternate so if the book is spread out, looking one way they are all colour and then the other way all black and white!

First stage
This is the beginning stage of some medallions which are destined for Karnivale 2009 in Germany, fingers crossed all going well!
The clay was rolled thinly and then stamped out in these shapes, a hole cut ready to be strung. Next was to trim up all the edges to prepare for painting with coloured engobe. To allow for breakages I have cut out 45 - the request is for 30.
