I am quite pleased with how this bowl turned out...
The colours were stamped underglazes but on top of the white glaze...
so I now have a new fruit bowl..
I spent the afternoon decorating these bottles I threw last week
It could be a few weeks before these are glazed as I am planning on starting on teapots in my next throwing session.
I have tested glazing over terrasiggulata with one of these 'rosemary planters' from the Anzac exhibition:
Just the one at this stage but if it works they will become wine bottle holders.
Thanks for dropping by my blog...

your bowl is super, I didn't know you could put underglaze over glaze hum
thanks Linda. Yes, only on some glazes. This white is a semi matt and so its similar to majolica but at the high temperature of stoneware. Majolica is usually at earthenware temperatures.
Nice work!
Thanks Smartcat :) the bowl has had its bottom smoothed, has been washed and now awaits a fresh batch of fruit from the shopping tomorrow..
They all look amazing. :)
Hi Caroline thank you.. the fruit bowl is now full of bananas :)
Cute fruit bowl, and I like the stamped fern leaf.... will be interesting to see how it fires up :-)
Hi Dawn
the fruit bowl is just the right size - the fern leaf is a cut out of a commercial tissue print... hope to be glazing them tomorrow but they might have to sit until the teapots are further along.. thanks for dropping by..
