Off to Ireland without me

My large textured slab built box is winging its way to Ireland.  A gift for a family member.

It has a white inner glaze and a soft blue glaze outside.  The outer glaze was poured on - would have been better to have sprayed it on but without my own proper spray booth and windy weather this wasn't possible.

I am still pleased that it didn't warp or crack.

Hi Linda, thank you. Yes it is a lovely country and well worth a visit. Its very popular with Americans who might have Irish ancestors and of course Australians too.

Great looking box, mine always warp. I'm doing some ancestry research on my own Irish ancestors...from before the 19th century.

Hi EC thank you - the packing was a bit tricky! Hopefully it has arrived safely.

Hi Barbara
Family history can be fascinating. Not everyone wants to find their ancestors in Australia as many were convicts from England and Ireland. That is changing as people find that the Irish ones were often Political Prisoners or the English ones were starving and stealing food. Terrible times to have lived yet many made good new lives in Australia.
